Biden praised Hersh’s parents, Jon and Rachel, for their courage and relentless advocacy for their son and other hostages and vowed that Hamas leaders would face consequences for their heinous actions. He reaffirmed his commitment to securing the release of the remaining hostages, emphasizing that Hersh’s death was both tragic and reprehensible.
